ruhi skincare rituals
The ruhi skincare products are based on centuries-old knowledge of powerful medicinal plants and active ingredients from modern natural cosmetics. They always use 100% natural ingredients in sufficiently high concentrations of the highest quality, if possible from controlled organic cultivation. At the same time, the products are ultra-soft to the skin: there are no essential oils in the facial care products and they always avoid alcohol and critical synthetic ingredients. The products are manufactured in Germany in factories specialised in natural cosmetics and meet the strict requirements of the EU Cosmetics Regulation.
Sustainability
ruhi pursues a holistic approach that goes beyond pure self-care: sustainable self-care. Therefore, they keep their impact on the environment as low as possible.
The natural cosmetics are produced in Germany in sustainably working factories with environmentally friendly extracted ingredients. The brushes are produced in a sustainable and traditional way by a family business in Germany.
The crystal tools are manufactured abroad under fair conditions and are transported climate neutrally. The resulting CO2 emissions are offset thanks to a forest protection project in Papua New Guinea.
The packaging is made of recycled, FSC-certified materials, printed with environmentally friendly inks and they are always trying to avoid the use of plastic. Many of the products are assembled in a Berlin workshop for people with disabilities.
Meet the Founder
ruhi was founded in 2019 by Berlin skincare enthusiast Britta Hekmat. She previously wrote about clean skincare topics on beautyshelf.de and implemented many projects in the beauty, publishing and digital industries.
When she became pregnant, she began to take a greater interest in a holistic beauty approach. She became intensively involved with Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Naturopathy. She discovered exciting medicinal plants and traditional self-care rituals such as dry brush massages and facial massage techniques. Britta began to integrate these simple treatments into her everyday life and soon noticed how good they were for her: “They reduce everyday stress, have a relaxing effect, give new energy and beautify my skin on the side!”
